My name is Kait, and Veridian Silver Co. is my passion project. In early 2019, I enrolled in a metalsmithing class at Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media and the rest is history! The process of creating something beautiful from scraps of silver and stone is a puzzle that has taught me to be patient, slow down, and stay present. Also, there's something oddly therapeutic about working with fire!

I create all of my work by hand in my tiny, shoebox-sized Pittsburgh, PA home studio with .925 sterling silver, ethically sourced & intuitively chosen gemstones (with a heavy emphasis on American turquoise), love, and intention.

If you came here looking for an online shop, I am sorry to disappoint! For now, I'm focused on building local relationships and meeting other artists and small business owners. I love to participate in local markets, festivals, pop-ups, and other events and do not have plans to open an online store. I prefer to operate as an "events-only" kind of business at this time.

A little bit about me: I'm passionate about Thai food, cold brew, true crime, comfy loungewear, Halloween, fall foliage, and exploring outdoors. When I'm not working my 9-5 job or making jewelry in my studio, you can find me taking a walk in the woods with my husband, tending to my 60+ house plants, trying craft beers at a local brewery, or snuggling up at home with a fluffy blanket, a good documentary, and vanilla + pine essential oils in my diffuser. I'm an enneagram 4w5 and a triple Capricorn, and if you know me, that makes A LOT of sense. :)
