Hi, I'm Kait.
I'm the "artist" (though even after 6+ years, it still feels weird to call myself that!) behind Veridian Silver Co. I work out of a tiny shoebox-sized home studio in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, usually by moonlight, since I also have a full-time job and a baby. I learned how to metalsmith through courses at a local art school (+ lots and lots of trial and error), and I'm currently entering into my fourth (!!!) market season and year in business!
I would describe my work as feminine, whimsical, and charmingly imperfect - just the way that handmade jewelry is intended to be, in my opinion. My work is for the free-spirited eccentrics who run barefoot in the dirt and dance under the moon.
When I'm not setting fire to silver in my studio, you can probably find me exploring in the woods, tending to my flower garden, or checking out a local vendor market, coffee shop, or brewery - almost always with my husband and our baby boy, Luca. I love a good roadtrip (especially up into New England!), craft beer, flowers, oysters, true crime, handmade ceramics, heirloom tomatoes, cold brew, fall foliage, Thai food, farmers market runs, and the color yellow.
Thank you for stopping by my dusty little corner of the internet! I'm so happy you're here!
