The campfire is a potent symbol of autumn's rhythms and gatherings. As daylight shrinks and the air cools, the warm glow and crackle of flames create a cozy counterpoint to the chill outside, bringing friends together for comfort and storytelling. There's something about the ritual of gathering around fire that echoes the transition from the busy productivity of summer to a slower, more inward season. The scent of burning wood and sound of crackling embers evoke nostalgia and a very primal, almost feral feeling - it's okay to howl at the moon!
"When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky."
May the Campfire Embers necklace serve as a symbol of those chilly fall nights surrounded by good friends and the darkness of night, while laughter and golden embers ascend into the night sky. This thoughtfully selected Dark Moon Hubei stone paints the perfect picture of this, and is set in 925 sterling silver with a classic, understated setting that lets the stone do most of the talking. Paired with a substantial, sturdy chain, this necklace is intended to be passed on for generations.
Item details:

About the stone:
Dark Moon Hubei "turquoise" is actually not turquoise, but a chemically and physically similar material found in the turquoise mines in the Hubei province of China. Little is known about this bewitching material as it was only recently discovered, but its unique composition of aluminum phosphates contributes to some of the most incredible watercolor-like droplets of orange, yellow, peach, and white on a night sky backdrop.
Crystal lore:
While it lacks specific lore of its own (because it is so newly discovered, little is known about it), perhaps it can be considered to be a part of the broader lore surrounding all turquoise, since Dark Moon is found alongside turquoise and is similar in composition. Traditionally, turquoise represents wisdom, protection, and good fortune. In ancient times, it was used as a protective amulet, particularly by Native American tribes who saw it as a sacred "living stone" representing the sky and earth. Legends describe turquoise as tears of joy from the first rains, or as a piece of the sky sent to earth.
