Item details:
- 925 sterling silver
- 5.5" heavy-gauge cuff with a 1" opening, making it slightly adjustable
- Stone measures roughly 15x10mm
About the stone:
Sourced from Nevada's historic and highly productive Fox mine (formerly known as the Cortez mine), Fox turquoise is renowned for its diverse color palette, ranging from soft sky blues to deep forest greens. The Fox mine was once Nevada's largest producer of turquoise. Indigenous peoples discovered the deposits in pre-historic times, but the first recorded claims were filed in 1914, with the stone being heavily developed in the 1940s.
Crystal lore:
Turquoise is an ancient, revered stone symbolizing sky, water, health, and protection across cultures. Historically prized by Native Americans, it was worn as a protective amulet, believed to guard against evil, bring good fortune, and strengthen warriors. It is often associated with calmness, wisdom, and friendship, and is widely considered a stone of communication, believed to enhance clarity, confidence, and honest self-expression through the throat chakra.
