With coloring that is strikingly unique in the turquoise realm, these Dry Creek minis can adorn you with little drops of the sky. They'd make a lovely collectors piece, as well as an everyday staple piece of jewelry.

Item details:

  • 925 sterling silver
  • 16" chain (if you would prefer an 18" chain, please let me know in the "Notes" field at checkout).
  • Each pendant measures roughly 15x10 mm.

About the stone:

Dry Creek turquoise is a rare, naturally pale blue-white material discovered in 1993 by the Shoshone tribe near Battle Mountain in Lander County, Nevada. This dreamy material boasts distinct, soft coloring caused by a lack of heavy metals (copper and aluminum, which typically create the blue and green hues in most turquoise deposits). The mine is currently closed and supplies are extremely limited, with most quality material having been mined in the 1990s. Because of this, Native Americans often refer to this material as "Sacred Buffalo" turquoise, because it is considered as rare as the white buffalo.

Crystal lore: 

Turquoise is an ancient, revered stone symbolizing sky, water, health, and protection across cultures. Historically prized by Native Americans, it was worn as a protective amulet, believed to guard against evil, bring good fortune, and strengthen warriors. It is often associated with calmness, wisdom, and friendship, and is widely
