About the stone:

Mother of Pearl, also called nacre, is the hard, shiny inner layer found inside the shells of certain sea creatures like oysters, mussels, and abalones. It consists of tiny, stacked mineral plates made of calcium carbonate. Light bounces between these tiny layers and splits into rainbow colors, much like a soap bubble.

Crystal lore:

Born as a mollusk’s defense against irritants, lore views mother of pearl as a shield of motherly energy that deflects negative energy and calms stress. It is widely used in mystical work to heighten psychic sensitivity, clear the subconscious, and stimulate the imagination.
