About the stone:

Mined in the mountainous regions of Sonora, Mexico (often near Campitos Mountain), Sonoran Mountain turquoise features a striking blend of bright blues and deep greens, influenced by the region's copper and iron deposits. Unlike most turquoise found strictly in hard-rock veins, Sonoran material frequently occurs as nuggets embedded in clay deposits.

Crystal lore:

Turquoise is an ancient, revered stone symbolizing sky, water, health, and protection across cultures. Historically prized by Native Americans, it was worn as a protective amulet, believed to guard against evil, bring good fortune, and strengthen warriors. It is often associated with calmness, wisdom, and friendship, and is widely considered a stone of communication, believed to enhance clarity, confidence, and honest self-expression through the throat chakra.
