About the stone:

Carico Lake turquoise is a rare Nevada turquoise, best known for its unique, dreamy pastel color range. Mined in a dried lake bed in Lander County, this high-grade stone gets its unique green hues from high zinc content, sometimes technically classified as faustite. Due to the mine's remote, harsh location and low yield, Carico Lake turquoise is considered to be very rare and valuable.

Crystal lore: 

Turquoise is an ancient, revered stone symbolizing sky, water, health, and protection across cultures. Historically prized by Native Americans, it was worn as a protective amulet, believed to guard against evil, bring good fortune, and strengthen warriors. It is often associated with calmness, wisdom, and friendship, and is widely considered a stone of communication, believed to enhance clarity, confidence, and honest self-expression through the throat chakra.
